Kane County
Real estate in Aurora, IL.

Aurora
Aurora is big enough to contain several markets at once: a historic downtown on the river, dense older neighborhoods around it, and large newer subdivisions out to the east and west. The BNSF line ends here, which makes it a genuine commuter option.
It also has a long-established, substantial Spanish-speaking community, and a meaningful share of transactions here get done in Spanish. Pricing is hyper-local — a downtown two-flat and a 2005 subdivision house are not the same market.
What the housing looks like
- Historic houses and two-to-four unit buildings downtown
- Post-war single-family on the near east and west sides
- Large newer subdivisions on the outer edges
