DuPage County

Real estate in Villa Park, IL.

A small village between Elmhurst and Lombard on the UP-West line, built mostly of modest pre- and post-war housing.
A single-story post-war ranch house with a picture window and a large shade tree in the front yard.

Villa Park

Villa Park is one of the more affordable addresses on the UP-West line, which is most of why buyers look at it. The Illinois Prairie Path runs through town on an old rail bed.

Housing is smaller than in the villages on either side, and a good share of it has been expanded at some point. Knowing what was permitted and what was not is worth checking before closing.

What the housing looks like

  • Small pre-war frame houses and bungalows
  • Post-war ranches and Cape Cods, often expanded
  • Townhomes and condominiums near the Prairie Path
