Real estate in West Chicago, IL.

A historic railroad city on DuPage's western edge, with a large Spanish-speaking community and open land still around it.
Newer two-story houses backing onto a wide open field at the edge of a subdivision.

West Chicago

West Chicago grew up around the railroad and still carries that industrial and logistics base, along with DuPage Airport on its edge. It is one of the most strongly Spanish-speaking communities in the county.

Housing is older and more affordable than most of DuPage, with newer subdivisions filling in toward the edges. For buyers priced out of the center of the county, this is usually the first place to look.

What the housing looks like

  • Older frame houses near the historic center
  • Newer subdivision housing toward the edges
  • Small multi-unit buildings and industrial property
