Cook County

Real estate in Brighton Park, Chicago.

A compact Southwest Side neighborhood of brick housing and small commercial strips, close to the Stevenson and the industrial corridor.
An older brick apartment building with bay windows and an ivy-covered facade, between two brick neighbors.

Brighton Park

Brighton Park is residential almost all the way through — tight blocks of brick cottages, bungalows and two-flats, with Archer Avenue carrying most of the commercial life. It sits close enough to the industrial corridor that commutes are short and the housing has always been priced for working families.

The buildings here are old enough that condition is the whole conversation. Two addresses that look identical can be separated by a roof, a sewer line and a furnace.

What the housing looks like

  • Brick cottages and bungalows, frequently extended
  • Two-flats with a finished basement unit
  • Small mixed-use buildings on Archer Avenue
