Cook County

Real estate in Cicero, IL.

A dense, largely Spanish-speaking town bordering Chicago's West Side, served by the Pink Line and the BNSF.
A city intersection lined with two- and three-story brick buildings with storefronts at street level.

Cicero

Cicero sits directly against the city line and is built like the city: a grid of brick housing, busy commercial streets, and transit that actually goes somewhere. Cermak Road and Ogden carry most of the retail.

It is a working market with a lot of two-to-four unit property, which makes it one of the more realistic places in inner Cook County to buy a first building rather than a first condo.

What the housing looks like

  • Brick two-flats, three-flats and four-flats
  • Bungalows and cottages on narrow lots
  • Mixed-use buildings on Cermak and Ogden
